Inspiration: Wedding Welcome Bags

One of my favorite wedding ideas is to create a guest welcome bag that’s been personalized for the vibe and location of your event. Guests will love the handpicked treats they get to bring home, and they’ll appreciate how your thoughtfulness made their trip all the more enjoyable.

Here are some basic tips for making the most out of your wedding welcome bag:

1. First things first, find a cute bag in which to place the swag. (Accidental rhyming is the BEST.)

{1. Bash Please 2. 100 Layer Cake 3. Rustic Wedding Chic 4. Dream State }

2. Provide a creative map or itinerary pinpointing all of the unique activities that guests should experience at your destination.

3. Surprise guests with a little souvenir to take home with them.

4. Always pamper with gourmet snacks or destination based treats. And mini alcohol? Yes, please!

{1. Dell Cove Spice Company 2. Brides Up North 3. Cape Cod 4. The Lovely Bits }

5. Last, but not least… Don’t forget to include a sweet note to your wedding guests.

Inspiration: DIY Paper Flowers

{1. Front & Main 2. Damask Love 3. Dream, Create 4. Lia Griffith}

If you haven’t noticed yet, paper flowers are all the rage at events these days. The first time I saw the trend was in Anthropologie installations a couple of years ago. Remember the human-sized tissue flowers in their catalogs? Crazy awesome. Needless to say, the trend has stuck, and I can see why. Paper bouquets and boutonnieres are an artsy and unique alternative to traditional flowers, and paper flower walls and arches add a sculptural pop to any event. You don’t have to hire someone to create these beautiful flowers for you though. All you need is a bit of creativity and a nice chunk of time. Above are a few of my favorite DIY flower projects to get you inspired to create your own amazing paper flowers. Links to each website are below the collage. They will be the perfect addition to your event!
